George's Postcard Note: Was I ever surprised! We'd seen it from our hotel room, a phantom looming through the mist at dawn, and we'd seen it in the distance from the Agra Fort. Then, mid-afternoon, we were there, and it's . . . Big! Larger than I ever thought, its size making it even more beautiful than all the images I'd ever seen. From where I was the heavenward domes and minarets did all sorts of funny visual things, made me dizzy - something you can see in my picture.
