Morocco

See this postcard painting. These two arches caught my eye. Not only did their shape make an interesting composition against the roof tiles and bight blue sky, but also the framing of the elongated lanterns of the hallway.

The Fine Arts Center presentation was about the creation of post card “art”. The presentation featured lots of art and the process they take. The talk featured my history with the art process, which included all the people encountered, the places visited and the fun mailing images from post offices across the world. My favorite story (if there can be one) is of the Italian postal staff exclaming “Bella, bella, architectura!” on our last day when we mailed all the postcards of their local scenes. It was a fun and nostalgic morning with hardly a dry eye in the house.

Canal Trip in France Postcard

This trip in the southwestern region of France began in Bordeaux and wandered through the Dordogne river valley where castles and villages from the middle ages are still there. Our trip included being on the 18th century canals as they wove through the countryside. Go to France and then Dordogne. See the postcard painting of this Sarlet Church at France, Dordogne. Also note that 2 of the postcards are on sale for $100 – “River Bridge” and “Inside Condom Cathedral”.

Trip to Costa Rica

We decided the paintings I was doing for fun should be mailed as postcards. Of course we had to find a post office nearby where the cards could be “explained” and mailed. Luckily we found a very nice person (who could speak english) who was very helpful with the beautiful stamps and cancellations. Off they went and now w have the art works to remember and to view.
