A short fall trip to New England, to visit friends in Portsmouth, NH produced a frenzy of painting enthusiasm resulting in several watercolor postcards from New England. I hadn’t realized Portsmouth had such a wonderful historic district, such a wealth of beautiful historic structures to capture as postcards. Another short trip to New Mexico, to a resort north of Santa Fe, found me wandering the nearby buttes and the intervening arroyos, as well as discovering historic adobe churches. A short vacation in Key West gave me the opportunity to paint more of my favorite palm trees (and its wonderful light). Historic Trenton was a revelation. San Francisco & Sonoma County was a wonderful trip of rediscovery, where I took a new look at the place I had lived years before. I’m glad I have these travel memories, but I want to make more!
