George's Postcard Note: Delores has always been one of my favorite streets. Ever since the 60's when I lived here, I would visit this street and be fascinated by its quick ups and downs and its median planted with palms. Maybe it was because as a southerner, I had never seen so many palms like this before. So on revisiting this street on the edge of Delores Park I decided to try to capture the fun of the trees - the way they dance up and down the hilly street - as if saying to the stodgy street trees on the sidewalk, "I'm the star, you guys are the chorus"! It was also nice to see one of the old-style corner groceries still in business.
