George's Postcard Note: I thought the white marble of this column stunning against the cool-blue slightly cloudy October sky, and, to get far enough away to see its full height, found a seat at the edge of a construction site. The observation platform, and then the statue on top, were perhaps a bit anti-climatic, but this monument honoring Washington’s march through Trenton during the Revolutionary War was altogether quite monumental. A couple of construction workers interrupted their break to look and comment. "Not bad."
