George's Postcard Note: Almartha , once a thriving town, with several stores and a blacksmith, had everything they needed on the surrounding farms. Now, this little hamlet at the junction of gravel county roads and the blacktop, has just a few houses and empty stores. But it still has charm, the way the roads come together, and the remaining buildings hold its shape. The "Inn," now somewhat down-at-the-heels, was really a part-time boarding house for traveling salesmen.
