George's Postcard Note: I was in Newton Centre again, after I-don't-know-how-many years, and was surprised to see this wonderful H.H. Richardson church. . . again - I seem to have forgotten it was here. As I looked at it from across the street, I was charmed by its almost humorous shapes boldly expressing themselves out of what was a supposedly somber brick building. The low squat brick arches looked like a face, mouth and eyes open to the street. And then there was this arm reaching up to the sky or to the heavens above, I guess. Anyway, the architectural historians may not write much about its anthropomorphism, but on that day, in that mood, it was REALLY speaking to me!
